Something About A Beach: Chapter 1

She loved everything about the beach: the sun, the sea, the sand. Today was perfect and she wasn't going to let anything ruin it. Vacations like these were few and rare, so she was going to savoir every moment of it. But there was a catch; originally just her, Sakura, Hinata, and Ino were planning on going but Lady Tsunade wasn't going to let her four best kunoichi go on vacation alone. She wanted to make sure that if something were to happen, they would have some help.

So Lady Tsunade told them to bring a fellow ninja along, letting them pick. Since Sasuke has returned (she was not sure how Naruto managed to do that) Sakura was practically his shadow, so naturally she invited him. Ino was going to ask Shikamaru to come, but he would most likely sleep the entire time and Chōji never really liked the beach either so Ino invites Sai. Hinata somehow mustered up the courage to ask Naruto. Everyone was amazing that she didn't faint when he said yes. She asked Neji to come since Lee didn't really understand the idea of relaxing.


The four boys sat in a circle, playing a quick game of cards as they waited for the girls.

"Hah! Beat that Sasuke!" Naruto cried as he placed what he thought was a winning hand down on the towel.

Neji sighed as he place his hand down, it wasn't going to beat Naruto's.

"Sorry Naruto, maybe another time," commented Sai as he set down his hand. It was better than Naruto's.

"What!!" yelled Naruto.

"It's just a card game," mumbled Sasuke as he placed his cards down, winning the game.

Naruto just glared at Sasuke.

"I wonder where the girls are…" muttered Sai.

Neji picked up the cards and started to shuffle them, "You have a lot to learn Sai, girls take their time changing," Neji said.

Sai looked a little confused by Neji's comment. Even though the two were roughly the same age, Neji seem to know a lot more than he did.

Sasuke stood up and brushed of his swim trunks. While the beach wasn't really his idea of fun,  but Sakura had asked him, so he came.

Neji looked at the other three guys. They were all shirtless while he had a shirt on. Now they weren't the only people on the beach; seeing how nice the day was, the beach was packed.

A couple yards away, a group of teenage girls were staring at them. Neji figured that they were only staring at them because of Naruto's loud mouth but he was wrong.


"Who were these four guys?" the group of girls wonder.

None had them had ever seen them before, but they were all well-built and HOT. The shortest of the four was a blonde with clear blue eyes and whisker like marks on his face. He was wearing a pair of orange swim trunks that had a red swirl mark on them above the left knee.

He was talking to a boy with dark blue almost black hair and matching eyes. He was wearing a pair of blue swim trunks with a white strip on the sides of his legs. He also wore a silver chain around his neck that had what looked to be a fan pendent on it.

Sitting on the ground next to the blonde was a boy who looked to be a slightly older than the other two. He had black hair and eyes, wearing a pair of black swim trunks.

And then there was the boy with the long hair that was tied up in a high ponytail. He had on a white headband on that covered his forehead. He was wearing a tight gray sleeveless shirt and a pair of dark gray swim trunks. There was no way that they had come alone. They seemed to be waiting for someone.


Naruto and Sai were bumping volleyball back and forth when someone jumped on Sai's back. He turned his head to see who it was. It was Ino, she was the reason as to why he was here.

He was taken by surprise when she asked him to come. He wasn't on her team and he didn't know really know her that well. But he came anyway once she explained why she had asked him, not one of her teammates.

"Hey Ino! Where are the others?" asked Naruto.

"They're coming," she replied as she got off of Sai's back.

She was wearing a strapless dark purple bikini that had a white flower design on it. She also had her hair down, which seemed odd to Sai since she always wore it up. Maybe Neji was right, he did seem to have a lot left to learn about women.

"Come on Sai!" she exclaimed as she grabbed his hand and ran toward the water.

Sai waved to Naruto as he followed Ino.

Naruto looked over at Sasuke who was digging in the sand. Sakura was sitting next to him in a bright pink bikini with light blue tie-dye design.

Before Naruto could go say hi, he heard his name and turned around. Hinata had snuck up behind him.

"Jeez what took you so long," Naruto commented.

"I..Um…" Hinata mumbled. She was wearing a white two piece swimsuit.

It was a halter top and a bikini bottom with only a little bit of her stomach showed.

Naruto smiled, "Wanna go swimming?" he asked.

Hinata just shook her head. Naruto laughed as he grabbed Hinata's hand and head toward the water.

Neji watch the village idiot walk to the water with his cousin in hand. He never understood what she saw in him.

"Really Neji, we are at the beach and you're wearing a shirt," a familiar voice commented.

Neji tilted his head back to see Tenten. She was wearing a dark maroon bikini with a pair of red swim shorts. What surprised Neji the most was the fact that she had her hair down, not tied up.

He stood up and put his hands in his pockets.

"I saw no reason to not wear one, unless I was planning on going swimming" he commented.

Tenten walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"What else do you do at a beach?" she asked.

He smiled, "Alright you win," he commented took off his shirt.

Tenten jumped on his back and wrapped her arms around his neck again. Neji straighten the ring on her left hand. He had proposed to her only a few months ago, on her 22nd birthday. While the wedding date had yet to be set, they knew that it would be soon.

Piggybacking Tenten, Neji head toward the ocean to join the rest of the leaf ninja; but little did the eight know, their vacation was not going to be as relaxing as they planned.
